If you're looking for an exciting and relatively inexpesive trip away, why not try Barcelona? The sunny Catalonian city has so much on offer from beaches and 'cool' nightspots, to fine arts and historical buildings.
With frequent flights flying from the UK, it is realistic to expect to pay less than £100 return flights (depending on the time of year you're flying).
Alongside transportation, another make or break to any trip is comfortable accomodation for the duration of your stay. Barcelona has many hotels, apartments and hostels on offer, but if you're a group of students looking for affordable, yet trendy accomodation, I recommend Generator Hostel Barcelona. Set in the heart of Barcelona (close to transport links), and with rooms as cheap as 9 euros a night, you cannot go wrong here. I stayed here this summer and thoroughly enjoyed my time. The facilities, location and staff were all so lovely - and for such a cheap price, I was amazed.
If you're lost on where to go and what to check out once you arrive in Barcelona, here's a list of my top recommended attractions:
Las Ramblas (Popular street in Barcelona)
Passeig Marítim (Beachfront)
Prepare to load up on tapas & sangria; dance into the night; and explore a city that you'll never forget...
