It’s that lovely time of year again when the nights get longer, the people get merrier and your pockets get emptier.
Yes I’m talking about Christmas.
You really want to be in the spirit of it all but you just can’t afford it after those nights out and the impulse student discount sales where you think you’re saving money but you’re not really are you? And when it comes to creating your crimbo shopping list, you prioritise and find your house mates at the bottom of that list.
But fear not, as we have come up with a budget gift idea which costs just under £10 for 3 people!
The jar of things
This gift idea requires a little more effort but it will be totally worth it.
Get a set of glass jars and fill them with sweets and other little gifts such as; character underwear, chocolates, pens, socks, tea lights, mini lipglosses etc.
Peronalise it and make it almost sentimental to each person.
They key to this gift is finding sets of things in low prices and distributing them per person.
Bonus tip: Search in stores such as Wilkison or Poundland for sets of chocolates or socks, or other items to make each jar different.
Extra bonus tip:
The candle craze has definitely hit all of us and whilst some are on the pricier side, some perfectly good candles do stand in the lower price range.
