Bare Minerals Bare Skin foundation

After reading many reviews myself and loving the ‘finish’ of this foundation on others, I thought I would try it out for myself.

The product as stated on the bare minerals website claims to:

-Provide seamless adjustable coverage

-Give a natural finish

-Contains vitamin C to reveal a brighter more even looking skin tone.

These claims totally sold me on purchaasing the product.

I visited my local House of Fraser in Nottingham (on a student discount night) and met with a lovely bare minerals employee who demonstrated the product on me. I expressed to her that I was looking for a warm shade to conceal my horrible red face and so she matched me up with the colour ‘Bare Beige’. This foundation retailed at £26 and I was also offered the buffer brush for an additional £24. But I could definitely not justify spending £50 on beauty products in one go.

Initially trying it the first time, I disliked it. I applied the foundation with a stippling real techniques brush. Though this brush is great with other foundations, it didn't go well with the Bare Minerals one as it it very liquidy. I applied it again but with the buffer brush and the application was much better, it glided on smoothly and i only had to use 2-3 drops for my whole face.

I absolutely loved everything about it; the dewy finish, the colour, and even how it felt so light. It gave me a healthy glow and even coverage- just liked the company claimed.

This foundation comes in 20 shades and is available at most department stores such as (Debenhams, House of Frasers and John Lewis

I give this product a 5 out 5.

(Bonus: It's currently on sale in House of Frasers, for £22.10)

UPDATE: After using this product for several months I have found that I am allergic to something in this foundation that's breaking me out like a crazy! It's so frustrating beccause I still stand by the original review and still want to wear it. Do I care about my skin and how it aches, or do I want to have nice 'looking' skin?

(I care about my skin and stopped using it)
